Very impressed with your paper! I'm so glad you got a 102!
ReplyDeletewell written, but I must point out that when you said, "Following Jesus is the only way to reach Heaven in the Christian religion, and to follow Jesus, you must give to the poor" it sounds like you are saying that to get to Heaven, you must give to the poor. Not so. It is neither a metaphor for throwing away one's selfishness nor a requirement for attaining salvation. Following Jesus first requires believing that He is who He says He is, the Savior. Then the act of giving to the poor is an act of obedience, and adds to the richness of salvation, but it doesn't "get you saved." I know this wasn't the point of the paper, and your teacher doesn't care about these points, and well done on getting a good grade, I just want to make sure you are aware of the fact that salvation is more than just giving to others and serving others. Hell will be full of plenty of people who gave and served, but who didn't believe that Jesus died for their sins. But hey you got a good grade, 102!
